Angelique and Louis are soul mates but they can’t be together for reasons beyond their control; one of them is on the earth plane and one is in the realm of the angels. Their bond is not a physical one but one of senses; each feels the others presence.
They come from very different families: Angeliques parents are comfortably off but their longed for family is elusive, Louis mother is a homeless drug addict.
The angel watches over the human and both of their families, guiding and protecting, and tells their story with an ethereal voice.
What are the main themes of your book?
The afterlife/spirit world. Relationships between humans and angels.
Who or what inspired your story?
My story was inspired by a news item on abortion laws which asked the question, at what point does a baby have a soul? It set me thinking. If it was as early as conception, how would that soul feel if it were aborted or miscarried?
What do you like best about your primary characters?
I like Angelique’s compassion and Steven’s strength and motivation.
What are their worst peculiarities?
Maybe Angelique could be considered nosy – inquisitive if I wanted to use a euphemism! She likes to feel that she is involved although she can never be. Leah is stroppy and self willed, likes to go her own way.
How does your main character evolve?
My main character is an old soul. Throughout the book she gains a greater understanding about the needs of those she loves, and learns acceptance.
What’s the principle message you want to send to your audience?
Don’t close your mind to the existence of the soul and to what may be out there in the universe.
What’s the nicest thing anyone has said about your book?
‘This is a beautifully written book and far more than your average romance tale,’ said by Brooklyn Hudson in a 5* review on amazon.com.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sherrie’s interest in writing grew when she was struck down with a neuroimmune disease that compelled her to resign from her position in a mainstream high school. Forced to spend a lot of time on her own, she believes writing has kept her sane.
